Meet by Lewa House located at the very heart of the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, the house is set on top of a hill with extensive views over gently rolling hills with Mount Kenya to the south and the rugged Mathews Range and the sacred mountain of Ol Olokwe to the north.

Lewa’s conservation efforts include investing extensively in the local community through several innovative programs ranging from micro-credit schemes to medical clinics and schools. This has gained support and people living in the area now view wildlife as an asset and help protect it.

After breakfast transfer to the airstrip and fly in a private charter to Lake Turkana region. Meet on arrival by Lobolo Camp. Lobolo is located western shore of Lake Turkana sheltered in the hollow of a spit which in the local Turkana language means a place of abundant water, indeed it is an area of natural springs whose waters have given rise to a verdant oasis of foliage and distinct animal and birdlife.

Each tent has its unique remarkable varied view of the sandy beach, the lake, Central Island and the distant shoreline. Lobolo Camp is a nexus for journeys on and around Lake Turkana and offers custom itineraries and services to satisfy each client.

Relaxed breakfast then transfers to the airstrip for your charter flight to Mara Plains Camp, located on the northern border of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve in the 30,000 acres Olare Motorogi Conservancy.

Rarely a night passes without lion roaring nearby, while leopard is regularly found to wander through the camp and cheetah have established territories on the savannah nearby the main area. Mara Plains Camp is a small, high quality, seven-roomed camp under canvas and on raised decks with sweeping views across Kenya’s notable savannahs. It is among the smallest and most personal camps in the Masai Mara region.

It is just one of five camps currently operating within the Olare Motorogi Conservancy, which boasts the region’s lowest vehicle density with no mini-buses, and only one guest room per 700 acres. Afternoon game drive. Meals and overnight at the Camp.
