  • Day 1

    Arrival in Kigali

    Upon your arrival at the Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by our driver/guide. Thereafter embark on the safari jeep and transfer you to your hotel in Kigali. Overnight at Flame Tree Village on BB

  • Day 2

    Explore Kigali City Tour

    After breakfast, embark on a full day Kigali City excursion, the capital city of Rwanda, you will visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, The Natural History Museum & The Presidential Palace Museum. Lunch will be served at Heaven Boutique Restaurant. Overnight at Flame Tree Village on BB

  • Day 3

    Transfer Kigali to Volcanoes NP for Dian Fossey Hike

    Early breakfast at your hotel in Kigali and proceed to Musanze, the northern part of Rwanda, home of the mountain gorillas start the hike to the Dian Fossey center ( Karisoke research center), where Dian, an American anthropologist spent years researching and conserving the Mountain gorillas before she was killed and is buried there next to Digit, her beloved silverback gorilla. You may encounter primates like vervet monkeys on the way to the research center and then return to the hotel for a late lunch. Then afterward drive back to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight back home. Overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge on FB.

  • Day 4

    Gorilla Tracking & Cultural Village

    Early in the morning, have your breakfast and thereafter together with your packed lunch proceed to Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing about the Gorilla Trekking Dos and Don’ts while trekking the Mountain Gorillas. There are 12 Gorilla Families in Rwanda, 10 are fully habituated and open to tourists and 2 are left for research purposes.

    The trek can take from 1 to 8 hours depending on the gorilla family you’re allocated, Gorilla families are allocated based on the preference of the tourist and their physical fitness. You will discover the Gorillas doing their day by day chores of sustaining their young ones, climbing trees, and others simply unwinding. Take your excellent photographs having switched off your flash. You’re allowed to stay with the Gorillas for just one hour and then go to the park office for your gorilla tracking certificate.

    In the evening visit Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village to get a clue on the Rwandan Cultural from their dances to their ways of life. Overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge on FB.

  • Day 5

    Volcanoes National Park / Akagera National Park

    After your B/F pick up from your Hotel in Musanze and drive through Rwanda’s exceptional landscapes to Akagera National Park, the only savanna park in the country. After checking in at your hotel, have lunch and proceed with the southern game drive alongside the Lake Ihema circuit where plenty of animals can be seen, including Buffaloes, Elephants, Zebras, Masai Giraffes, Hippos, Nile Crocodiles, to mention but a few. Not only will you be able to enjoy the wildlife but also be amazed by views of the gentle hills blending magnificently with lowland swamps and water bodies.

    You can choose to relax at the lodge poolside in the evening, or take evening walks around the hotel where you may reward yourself with various bird species. Overnight at Akagera Game Lodge on FB.

  • Day 6

    Full Day Game Drives in Akagera National Park

    After your breakfast, head north of the park for yet another rewarding game drive, which will reward you with a variety of game including; the hippos, crocodiles and even more wildlife species. After lunch, go for an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema, where you will be rewarded with a view of the game as hippos, crocodiles, as well as a variety of bird species. Overnight at Akagera Game Lodge on FB.

  • Day 7

    Departure

    B/F at your lodge and drive back to Kigali for your final shopping of safari Souvenirs in a local Craft Market Shop before final transfer back to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight back home.
